Welcome
to The Tradition. Founded
in June of 1978 by Sensei Don Hendrix, The Tradition holds the honor of being the
Headquarters Dojo for the Wado Ryu Karate Association of Alabama, and
Alabama's representative Dojo for the United States
Eastern Wado Ryu Karate Federation.
Now approaching our 24th year of operation, The Tradition is under the
direction of Sensei Tom Stevenson, 5th Dan, one of the USEWF's most respected
leaders, and The Tradition's first student when it opened its doors more than
twenty-three years ago! Hosting a roster of 50 full-time students, Sensei
Stevenson is ably assisted by associate instructors, Mr. Charles Roberts
-Sandan-, Mr. Bill Ireland -Sandan-, and Mr. Blane Sherman, Shodan.
Offering
complete training programs for adults and children, classes are held every
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 until 8:30 pm.
